Muhammad Ali was autopoiesis——classically.

This is to life created as a matter of word.

To The Man

Float like a butterfly
Sting like a bee
What I can give you
Is the freedom to see

Long before I dance
Under those lights

I do the road work
That lets me win
All those fights

I made myself up
As a matter of my word
I opened the doors
so all could be heard

The only thing better
Than hearing that Bell,
Was getting to spar with
Howard Cosell

I go now alone
to our next meeting place.
You won’t need your phone
Just in case

We will be dancing
As you will see
So float like a butterfly
And sting like a bee.
